Most inventors want funding and licensing. They really want to believe that if they come up with a new solution to a problem and get a patent or simply file a provisional application, that someone will take that idea and pay the inventor lots of money both up-front and as an ongoing royalty. Others truly believe that someone will give the inventor money to commercialize the product simply because it is a good idea. It is no wonder that 98% of independent inventors patented concepts, even the very best of them, never make it to the store shelves.
